About Computer Atlas
Computer Atlas is a browsable, searchable map of computer science and computing topics. It is built for beginners, students, software engineers exploring adjacent fields, and teachers looking for a structured way to explain things.
For every topic the atlas tries to answer:
- What does this mean, in simple terms?
- Where does it sit in the bigger picture?
- What should I understand first?
- What can I learn next?
Design principles
- Content first. The site exists to make ideas legible.
- Honest about gaps. Stubs and drafts are clearly marked.
- Open. Every page links to its source on GitHub.
- Fast. Static HTML, almost no JavaScript by default.
